01 Selected work

Products in production, used by real people

From a global trading platform and a 500-store coffee chain to India's JEE/NEET coaching, a CBSE school and a Jaipur wholesaler. The code is private, so here's what each product does and the part I built.

Fintech · CurrentShuru · Equiti

Equiti: a global multi-asset trading platform

My current project at Shuru. Equiti Group is a multi-asset broker regulated in the UK, UAE, Cyprus, Jordan and Kenya, with web and mobile apps for trading, deposits and withdrawals. I work on the engineering of its trading platform.

Pickup Coffee: data platform and the apps behind 500+ stores

One of the Philippines' fastest-growing coffee chains, now expanding into Mexico. I first built their data platform: Airflow pipelines moving data from Google Cloud Storage into BigQuery, and Metabase dashboards for the marketing team. Then I moved to the backend of their three apps: the customer ordering app, the barista tablet app in every store, and the back office for menus and pricing.

Yugam Ask: plain-English questions over 1.7M schools

An AI agent that turns everyday questions into safe, read-only SQL over India's UDISE school data, with web search and memory for each user. It runs on our own GPU, which switches on when someone asks and off when nobody is using it, to keep costs low.

02 How I can help

One engineer, start to finish

For founders, schools and businesses who want something built properly, or want a trusted technical opinion before they spend. I plan it, build it, launch it, and stay around after launch.

Web & mobile apps

Ordering systems, dashboards, customer apps and admin panels, built with React, Next.js and React Native.

Backend & integrations

Fast, secure APIs, payment gateways (Razorpay, Cashfree), WhatsApp and SMS OTP, and GST invoicing.

AI features

Chat over your own data, document and OMR reading, transcription, and self-hosted models when privacy or cost matters.

Speed & cloud

Make slow apps fast, add caching and monitoring, and set up dependable deployments on AWS, GCP or DigitalOcean.

Tech advisory

A technical advisor for founders and leadership: architecture reviews, choosing the stack, build-or-buy calls, auditing agency work, and hiring developers.

Data & dashboards

Pipelines that bring your data together in one place, and dashboards your team will actually use, built with Airflow, BigQuery and Metabase.

  1. 01Call

We talk through the problem and I suggest the simplest thing that solves it.

  2. 02Plan

A clear scope, timeline and fixed quote. No surprises.

  3. 03Build

Weekly demos on a live link, so you see progress as it happens.

  4. 04Launch

Deployed, monitored, documented, and supported after launch.

05 FAQ

Questions people often ask

Quick answers about my work, how a project runs, and how to reach me.

Who is Gajraj Singh Shekhawat?

Gajraj Singh Shekhawat (also known as Gajraj Shekhawat) is a backend and product engineer based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, with 4+ years of experience building production software. He works as a Product Engineer at Shuru Technologies, currently on Equiti's trading platform, and also partners with schools and businesses to design and build complete products.

Which companies has Gajraj worked with?

At Shuru Technologies he works on Equiti's multi-asset trading platform, and before that built the data platform and app backends for Pickup Coffee, a coffee chain in the Philippines and Mexico. At AFM Bigtech, his first company, he worked on MoneyyApp and built the online learning platform for Competishun, a JEE/NEET coaching institute in Jaipur. As an independent consultant he has built products for Yugam International School, Neem Karoli Sales, Shikhar Classes and Gram Sansad.

What kind of projects does Gajraj work on?

Web and mobile apps, backend systems and APIs, data pipelines and dashboards, payment and WhatsApp integrations, AI features, and software for schools and coaching institutes. Recent work includes a wholesale ordering platform with two Android apps, an AI agent that answers questions about 1.7 million schools, and face-recognition attendance.

Can Gajraj be our technical advisor?

Yes. He advises founders and organisations on architecture, choosing the right stack, build-versus-buy decisions, reviewing agency or vendor work, hiring developers and planning the product roadmap. He plays this role for Yugam International School, where he leads the technology team.

Can he build a complete product from scratch?

Yes. He regularly takes products from idea to launch on his own: planning, design, backend, web and Android apps, payments, deployment and support after launch. The Neem Karoli Sales ordering platform, for example, was designed and built end to end by him.

Does he work with clients outside Jaipur or outside India?

Yes. He works remotely with organisations across India and abroad, including clients in the Philippines, Mexico, the UAE and the UK, on Indian Standard Time, with regular calls and weekly demos on a live link.

Which technologies does he use?

Node.js, TypeScript and Python on the backend (Express, Fastify, NestJS, FastAPI); React, Next.js and React Native on the frontend and mobile; PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and BigQuery for data, with Airflow and Metabase; AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Docker and Kubernetes for infrastructure; and LLM agents, text-to-SQL and OpenCV for AI.

Can he add AI to an existing product?

Yes. He has built a text-to-SQL agent on a self-hosted model, AI reading of exam answer sheets, Indian-language call transcription and summaries, and an AI lesson planner. He can also host models privately when data privacy or running cost matters.

How does a project start, and how is it priced?

It starts with a short call to understand the problem. You then get a clear scope, timeline and fixed quote before any work begins, followed by weekly demos during the build.

How can I contact Gajraj?

By email at gaju2gajraj@gmail.com, or by phone or WhatsApp on +91 94145 84444. He usually replies within a day.
